In order to be able to do the best job we can, our practice will have to have limits on the number of patients we care for. We wish we could take care of everyone, but we also understand our own limitations.

We are aware of the feeling that children must see a Pediatrician. Family Physicians are also trained in the care of children, in addition to adults, seniors, delivering babies, etc.. We feel it is an advantage to care for the whole family rather than limit ourselves to certain ages.

If you are considering becoming a patient, please read the following and see if you agree:

Our Philosophy, a few points:

Minor problems can be more than they seem, or not-so-minor in someone with multiple medical problems. Our patients deserve to be seen by someone who is familiar with them and their medical problems.

We do our best to accomodate same-day appointments. We have reserved time each day that cannot be scheduled before that day. We do have limited time, so call as early as possible. We will see your sick child that same day if they are already our patient.

We strongly emphasize Prevention and Wellness, and recommend routine physicals for all patients to make plans on how to stay healthy.

We require regular visits if you take medications for certain problems such as: high cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc.

Convenience is important:
We have an X-ray suite in the office for routine X-rays and injury evaluation.

We draw blood for your lab tests ordered by Dr. Summer right in the office.

We also use computerized medical records and fax prescriptions directly to the pharmacy so you can pick them up immediately.
